What I Did Last Weekend
Anum and I with Pn. Rodiah, our next-door neighbour at the wedding reception held at Telok Pulai, Kelang |
Before leaving home, Anum and stopped by at En. Azlan's house. He and his 3 family members just arrived home from Mekah - performing the Umrah |
Anum, Apeed & Apped's sister [sorry, forgotten her name] |
En. Jumani was also my housemate at Bukit Jambul. He is now an accomplished businessman at Teluk Intan, Perak. He and his family manufacture and distribute many kinds of bread at Teluk Intan, Perak. |
En. Ismail showing-off his 'BAPA PENGANTIN' name-tag. For me, I prefer the "MAIN SPONSOR" name-tag. |

A Trip To Sg. Besar
Anum with the proud "emak pengantin". We used to stopped by their home as it is nicely located by the busy Sg. Besar - Tanjung Karang road.
Not surprising, an empty but big and long yellow trailer crashed into the murky 2metres drain in front of En. Idris's home the night before the wedding reception. Later, I was told later that the trailer was stolen as no one coming forward to claim it.
En. Idris, the proud 1st. time "bapak pengantin" waiting to greet his guests and getting the "enveloped hand shake". He was my one of my best friends during my two years at Language Institute, Kuala Lumpur.
There were two long queues to get to the ordering counter. They even have a drive-through counter at the other side of the counter.
It was a hot day. I ordered 3 bowls of chendol for the two of us.
Friends
We were once classmates. It was 1979/80 at Language Institute, Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur. There were 30 of us in the PPAK[I]. Alhamdulillah, most of us are still actively involved in the teaching profession.
En. Tajudin is now an English lecturer at IPG Kampus Pendidikan Islam and En. Mohd. Zaini is a senior teacher at Sekolah Menengah Jasin, Melaka. Yesterday En. Mohd Zaini's second daughter was having an interview at SPP to enable her to become a teacher. She requested to be posted to a school in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor. En. Mohd Zaini had other ideas. He preferred his daughter to teach in Melaka instead!
