Kursus Urus Aset Kerajaan

Around 30 staffs from IPG Islamic Education Campus arrived at Heritage Hotel, Ipoh for the above course. Among presents are En. Hassan (Examination Unit), En. Baharudin (In-service Course Unit) and many others.
We were given a surprise on the first day. Before we were able to check in the hotel, we were given a tour of IPG Ipoh Campus. I took the opportunity to meet the officer in charge of student afairs. I managed to get a few good practices that I might use in my campus.

3 Down 2 To Go

Last Saturday, Anum, Fathiyah, Nurul & myself attended Farhana's graduation ceremony. It was held at German Malaysian Institute's Gemilang Hall. She completed her Diploma in Moulding & Design.
It was a day to remember especially for Farhana herself. Apart from receiving her scroll on stage, it was also the day that she appeared in front of her coursemates with her new slim look.
As parents, Anum & I, tried our best to provide the best education for our children so they could have a better future. So hopefully Amirul & Fathiyah will also be able to follow the footsteps of their elder brother & sisters.

Helping A Friend

I felt the vibrations of my handphone while performing my Isyak prayers at Surau Al-Muhajirin. Alhamdulillah my routine of switching my handphone to vibrate mode didn't disturb other jemaah performing their solat. After the doa I returned the call made by my old friend, YB Cikgu Hamzah Hashim who is now happily living in Kangar, Parlis.
Ciki Hamzah told me that his eldest son, Khaisan, who rent a flat at Presint 11 just involved in a car accident. He is being treated at the Emegency Unit, Hospital Putrajaya. He asked me to look and assess the seriousnes of his son's injury.

A Friend In Need

I like this quote;-

A TRUE FRIEND WALKS IN EVEN THE WHOLE WORLD WALKS OUT ......

A worried parent

My second son, Amirul is studying at Politeknik Permatang Pauh. He will be in his second semester next year and will not be allow to stay in the hostel. He need to rent a house/room and travel everday to his classes. I've suggested that he write a request letter to the hostel warden so that he could be permitted to continue to using the hostel facilities.
I was informed that if Amirul's record is good, and he hand in his request letter in this week, his aplication will be approved with the new intake next semester.
Today Amirul called me, informing that he and his three buddies has already booked a house next to the campus and would like to have my approval. He also requested that he be permitted to drive/ride to campus. What could I say?

My Mistake

After fetching Fathiyah at 10pm from her swimming activity at Precint 9, I quickly drove my Iswara home as I wanted to continue my interupted TV watching. At the first traffic light, I noticed a driver gave me a good long stare as he was coming out from a junction. I said to myself, maybe he is also in a hurry like myself.
As I drove along Jalan P9G, I saw a NadiPutra bus stopped. A young guy stepped off and to my surprised, he crossed the road [in front of my car] while talking on his phone. Is he crazy? I gave him a fierce horn!
When I arrived home, I suddently realised that I didn't switch on my headlights!!! No wonder the driver and the young guy didn't notice my car.

an old friend II

I got to know Cikgu Saburi during my early teaching days in Benut, Pontian. I used to represent PSKPP Pontian District in Sepak Takraw. On my second year, Cikgu Saburi joined our team. He played as an "Apit Kanan" - The Killer. The following year I was surprised when he was posted to the SK Seri Setia, the same school I was posted. He wanted to be near his home at Sri Merlong. We got along very well. He was at Putrajaya last Friday for his daughter's MAHSA convocation. He now resides at Bandar Tenggara, Johor.

an old friend I

Cikgu Ramsinah and I used to work at SK Putrajaya Presint 9[1]. Cikgu Ramsinah is now a Head Teacher in Ipoh, Perak. Last Saturday, she organised a visit to Putrajaya. Among the teachers that participated in the visit is Cikgu Bakhtiar.

Cikgu Bakhtiar and I used to work at Sekolah Rantau PETRONAS. He is an organised person. All his works and reports are filed, categorised and stored neatly. Even the records for his tuition classes [at his home] is well kept.

We used to rent houses at the same area in Kemasik [Near Kertih]. Nearing the end of our services there [like myself] he baught a house in Kertih but I bought a house in Paka. We rented out our houses. Lucky for him he got more RM than me for the rented house.

My Treadmill Has A Mind Of Its Own

I baught the treadmill around 4 years ago. The main purpose is to let my family members (especially Farhana) be able to do some exercise in any weather and lose some weight. The machine started to have problems since last week. The machine will work pefecly in the morning but in the late afternoon it won't start.
I've tried many tricks to start the machine but it all depands on luck. The same "touch here and there" will not give the same result. Lastly Anum, Farhana and myself put the machine into my crv and

I - a typical Malaysian driver

As promised, I came home a lot ealier than usual. I've told my daughter that I will drive her to 1Utama for her workout. She MUST be at Celebrity Fitness befrore 8pm. But before that she MUST exercised on her own to burn 500 calories. So roughly I MUST drive (like crazy) and reached 1Utama before 7.30pm.
The traffic at Puchung and nearing 1Utama was horrible. A snail could slide much faster than my driving. I nearly crashed into a Wira in front of me when I speed upon seeing an empty lane. Suddenly all the cars in front stopped. Fortunalely I managed to press the brake padle hard. Anum, Fathiyah and Farhana gave a little scream. We could hear the scream of the tires and the smell of rubber burnt.
After that incident I drove more carefully. I praised Allah for the nearly costly accident.
We managed to arrived at 1Utama at 7.45pm sharp. As soon as my car reached the lobby, Farhana and Fathiyah quickly ran to the fitness centre. Farhana was saved from being punished for not completing her 500calories.

I'm Inspired

Apart from travelling, my next favourite pastime is reading. Whenever there are no urgent tasks that need to be done, I would go to the nearest "pusat sumber".
Often, after performing my Zuhur prayer, I would passby a newspaper stand/rack that sells newspapers at discounted prices. As it was already late noon, nobody would buy them. I would "borrow" one, sit at a nearby table and read while waiting for the JHEP to be open.
Today I read an article that inspired me to eagerly update my blog. The article refers to a blog that was written by a teacher who teaches in a rural school. I was astonished of his dedication & innovation in teaching primary school children in a rural school.
The blog that I am reffering to is "apistakkisah.blogspot.com
